My name is Stacey Thomas, speech-language pathologist (SLP) and owner of Jabber Jaw Kids, LLC. A graduate of the University of Florida with a master's degree in speech-language pathology, I have more than 18 years experience working as a pediatric SLP. My husband and I are blessed with four amazing children, one of whom was born with Down Syndrome.
My extraordinary position as a special needs mom and SLP has allowed me the unique perspective of understanding both the parent and professional roles. Like many of my clients and their parents, I can relate to their therapy experiences. My 16 year therapy journey with my son has not only strengthened my passion and resolve to help children with their speech and language needs, but to also assist families with their own unique journeys and struggles.
It is my mission to provide personalized, compassionate, family-centered speech and language therapy to improve your child's communication skills. I am so grateful to be able to practice my passion and to experience the accomplishments of your child along the way!

My passion is working with special populations, including children with hearing loss, autism spectrum disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, Down Syndrome, and individuals who use augmentative and alternative communication. I am fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and have specific training in a variety of evidence based programs and practices. I provide family centered intervention in order to assist parents in facilitating their child’s communication skills leading to positive results.

I am passionate about working with the pediatric population! I believe that each child is unique and deserves an individualized therapy plan in order to help them reach their full communication potential. I have enjoyed working within the clinical, preschool, elementary school, and home settings. I have experience working with children with expressive and receptive language delays, articulation delays and phonological disorders, autism spectrum disorder, apraxia, stuttering, and augmentative and alternative communication. I believe in collaborating with parents and other professionals and implementing a team approach. It is so rewarding to watch a child become confident in their own voice!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, eating at local restaurants, traveling, and running on Bayshore Boulevard.
